About Us

Street evangelism
  • Our aim is to pursue evangelism strategies and activities that encourage, train, support, and strengthen local churches.

  • We are a fellowship of about 80 evangelists including 16 team leaders, from around Tasmania, each one a member of a local church who has a passion to tell people about the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. We model godly character, convictions and competency. Our desire is to be faithful ambassadors for Christ to those whom God loves but are heading for destruction (John 3:16-17, Romans 5:8, Mark 16:16, Romans 10:14-15).

  • We are united in Christ and although we are all active members of churches of various denominations, every one of us believes that:

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy.

For [we are] not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes, .... For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith. (Romans 1:17)

God uses his people to do the humanly impossible; to open the eyes of the blind, make deaf ears hear, and then brings life to the dead. And because no human can do that on their own, when it happens, God gets the glory, not us. (Romans 15:21, 4:17)

  • What we do and how we do it, is driven by our love for sinners and the word rather than by secular management principles and pragmatism. We are all servants of God and one another. We have only one leader: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Philippians 1:27, 2: 1-5).

  • We are accountable to, and invite critique from the leaders of healthy, gospel-centred churches.
